A Holiday On Wheels To Center Parcs

A Holiday On Wheels To Center Parcs  Hello to my lovely readers, hope you are well. I have recently been to Center Parcs in Eleveden Forest and I just thought I'd do a blog on my week away.  Me and my boyfriend Victor, decided to book another week in Center Parcs this year, we loved it so much last year so we decided to go again. We went on bank holiday, in which we didn't realise this until a few weeks before, it was slightly busy but still lovely, it quietened down after the long weekend.  The week was amazing, we were more aware of what went well and what didn't from the first time around,  so it was easier to plan our week and book our activities. We made sure we spread our activities out so we had something to do each day and this worked as it gave us time to get to all of our activities as well as time to relax. We did lots of exciting activities however trying to think of things to book is quite challenging as we were quite limited as to what we...

Day To Day Life As A Disabled Adult

Day To Day Life As A Disabled Adult Hello readers, I hope you are all doing well. Day to day life as a disabled adult might look slightly different to every person who has a disability. There are currently one billion people in the world who has a type of disability and their life will not be the same as the next disabled person. This is what makes people unique and special. I know that day-to- day tasks for me can be challenging but I focus on these as my goals and I slowly can get better at them, like for example getting dressed would always be a struggle for me and I would need support, but with encouragement and determination I was able to learn to get myself dressed. The things we need to do daily might seem a big challenge when we first start practicing something, but the more we do the task, the better we will be at...

A long time, no blog hello

A LONG TIME, NO BLOG!  Hey, this feels so strange blogging again, I had a realisation that when I write and blog I get so much enjoyment out of it, so I'm going to give it another go!  I have been sort of blogging over on my Instagram  @cp_abs but it feels good to grab a fresh page and just go back to what I originally love and just be able to write.  The past year or so has been up and down for everyone, but hope we are getting back somewhat normal. I know I haven't done as much as I wanted to but I think everyone is in the exact same boat. However I have done so much what I have never would've  thought of unless we didn't have this time. I feel like I have done more while being at home than before the Pandemic came about. I'll tell you more in the next few paragraphs! Being in the moment  I think this has been what everyone has learnt over the past few years, we have to be in the moment and be grateful for what is going on ar...

Whizz-Kids blog

Lockdown Boredom?… Have No Fear Whizz-kidz Are Here Hi I haven't been on here for a long while, but this is the blog I did for Whizz-kids as I have been enjoying their activities through lockdown. I hope you enjoy reading.  Hi I'm Abbie and I have been loosely involved with Whizz-Kids since I was young, I did a few clubs and I took part in the Challenge 75 in 2019.   But wasn't sure what other things Whizz-kids had to offer, including clubs and training.  When lockdown started, I didn't have a clue how I would fill up all of the extra free time I suddenly had as normally I was really busy . I was invited to take part in a placement online as Whizz-kids couldn't send young people out to placements, so I was nervous about the placement as well as learning to work online. However despite finding it a struggle, this was when I found my niche for the online activities that Whizz-Kids has to offer.  Around the time I was doing my placement, Whizz-kids had started to put t...

CP Teens Guest Blog: Anxiety during lockdown

Hey all,   This is the blog I wrote for  CP Teens Guest Blog. Hope you enjoy it!   Hope everyone’s ok, keeping safe and well at this unpredictable and strange time. When I first heard about Coronavirus, I naturally felt anxious and concerned about the virus, but after I got over the realisation about what was going on, I settled down into staying at home and made sure I kept busy. I have found that I am happier and a lot more relaxed than I was when we were all going out and had a ‘normal’ routine.    It has actually made me a better person, making me realise what is important in life and what really isn’t. It has taught me to not to take everything so serious and treat everyday as a new day, don't hold grudges because there are more issues going on in the world to carry on with our problems, its just easier to move on and think how positive we can be.    Before Coronavirus and lockdown, I was very busy with going to the gym, doing work placements and...

Staying positive at home

Staying positive at home  Hello guys, Hope you are all well and keeping safe.  I have really surprised myself of how much I've got used to staying at home. I thought I would be stressed and anxious about not being able to go out, but it has gone the opposite way. I'm happy, motivated and very relaxed. Being someone with a high level of anxiety, I thought I would've got bored and emotional very quickly but I have been keeping busy and chilled throughout my time at home.  Being at home has made me more proactive on what I really want out of life. I think before I got so used to going out and at times I sort of took it for granted. Now being  at home has made me realise what the positive things are in life and it has made me feel grateful for them. Also I have realised how much there is to do at home that I didn't really give much thought on before, like i’m enjoying reading and playing online easy games that I haven't played for years. I miss the free...
